Glis duo is one of the absolute revelations of 2001. The body-pop style smells very eighties and sounds like a hybrid between Second Decay for the analogue side and VNV Nation for the melodious side. They possess certain knowledge to write carrying melody lines in conjunction with powerful sequences and a perfect harmony between the male and female vocal parts. The sweet female expression of Andrea Ashdown may here and than reminds to Patrice of Regenerator.The main source of inspiration sounds like being picked up from the eighties, but their analog composition doesn’t sound like a new cloning.
